For many of the youth, ghazal is synonymous with Jagjit Singh - fondly, and aptly remembered as the 'King of Ghazal'. He brought this wonderful form of music closer to the masses, and the songs or ghazals he sang have left a mark on many's hearts and ears. His deep voice, and emotional touch, was truly mesmerizing.
For the lucky ones, who have had the chance to listen to his live performances, it's something you cannot forget.
