19-Feb-2011: It's always nice to catch Google Doodles, and today was another of those days. With my browser open to its default home page, Google welcomed you to this day, when the biggest sporting event of the planet kicks off: The ICC Cricket World Cup, 2011.

Cricket is no doubt the t
op sport in India, and probably on the planet, what with a nation of 1 billion following it like crazy. This mega event, that will be co-hosted by a total of 3 neighbouring nations (India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka), will see 14 countries compete against each other over the next 42 days to determine the world champions. India last won the World Cup in 1983, and are seen as a strong contender this time, but cricket, as experts will always say, is a game of uncertainties; there are no guarantees.Here's wishing all the best to everyone.
